General Counseling:
- A big thanks to Tam for all her help with the Angst presentation. The survey feedback was positive. Students noted that it was real and informative.
- Sheri is working with students for transition group and Mary has 2 more sessions with the grief group. The social skills support group will hopefully start late February. They will be sending out an email in the near future for social skills group referrals. If you have any please let Sheri or Mary know.
- Freshman second semester meetings have been insightful. Students completed an online survey prior to meeting with the counselors. During these meetings the counselors check in on the students' academic progress thus far, their adjustment socially, as well as any outside factors that may be occurring.
- Mary attended a conference on high functioning autism. A lot of good information was provided that can be supportive for our current students as well as the social skills group that Sheri and Mary will be starting up soon.
